Jing massage

A holistic approach to pain reduction in 6 weeks

The Jing method of massage and bodywork is a form of advanced clinical massage and is a blend of eastern and western techniques including fascia release, trigger points, acupressure, stretching and self-care.

It’s an all in one holistic approach that gets to the root cause of pain, not just the symptoms you are dealing with right now.

The method is based on a reduction of pain in 6 weeks or less by working in partnership to increase mobility, agility and joint range of motion, whilst decreasing daily levels of chronic pain and anxiety connected to it.

What is the Jing Method?

What my clients say…

  • "Jing massage is amazing

Rachel works in partnership with you so you can regain balance in your life, so if you’re looking to reduce your daily pain, look no further. Jing massage is amazing and I give Rachel a 10 out of 10.”

  • "After 6 sessions my pain greatly reduced

Before seeing Rachel I had significant pain in my feet and lower legs which was reducing my walks with my dog and I no longer felt comfortable going downstairs on alternate legs. However, after working with her for the six sessions, the pain is greatly reduced so I can now walk on uneven ground with my dog.”

  • "I am now able to do so much more

I have had severe kyphosis for the best part of my life and have never been able to play tennis, swim or join in with normal activities. I came to Rachel desperate to get some form of movement. After the first session, I felt so much freer in my shoulders however by session 3, I was suddenly able to raise my arms above my head.

Rachel has given me simple exercises to do that fit in with my busy days and combined with my weekly sessions I am able to do so much more.”

  • "Totally bespoke to your needs

As an ex physio I had never heard of trigger points, let alone Jing. This work isn’t massage as such, it’s more of a therapy involving a combination of techniques to reduce pain, increase mobility and range of movement. Each session is planned with what you are dealing with now, so is totally bespoke to your needs.”

Meet your massage therapist - Rachel

Last November, my life changed in an instant. I sustained a serious wrist injury that left me in significant pain, struggling with mobility, and faced with the overwhelming challenge of healing. For months, I had to prioritise my self-care in ways I never had before. This wasn’t just about resting; it was about learning to truly listen to my body, understanding its needs, and finding ways to gently guide it back to health.

Through this journey, I discovered the profound impact that intentional, adaptive self-care can have - not just on physical healing, but on emotional and mental well-being too. It was during this time that my passion for massage therapy was reignited. I realised that the same techniques and tools I was using to help myself could be tailored to help others navigate their own chronic pain and physical challenges.

Now, I’ve returned to massage with a renewed purpose and a new approach. My focus is on a physiology-first method, which means working with your body’s natural systems to promote healing and alleviate pain. This type of massage goes beyond temporary relief - it works to uncover and address the root cause of pain rather than just masking symptoms. By understanding what’s at the root, I help you to not only experience relief but also equip you with tried and tested tools to support your own healing journey.

By understanding how your body functions and how pain affects it, I can tailor treatments to meet your individual needs. No two bodies are the same, and I believe that truly effective massage requires listening to each client’s story, understanding their unique challenges, and creating a plan that supports their journey toward better health. My experience has taught me how vital it is to treat the body with care and compassion, and I bring that same energy to every client I work with.

If you’re struggling with chronic pain or simply feel out of touch with your body, I’m here to help. Together, we can work toward restoring comfort, mobility, and a deeper connection with yourself.
